A very quiet and secluded park tucked away in a neighborhood in the Rainier Beach area of south Seattle. The area was an island until Lake Washington was lowered in 1916 and it was the site of a native american village when Europeans came to the Seattle area. Now it just has a comfortable and remote feel due to its location and size. There are restrooms and a guarded beach. The water entry is very easy on one's feet and the bottom slopes away from the shore gently. Swimming in the shallow area one sees a great abundance of fresh water clam shells on the bottom. For drive-up access there is a parking lot and the neighborhood itself provides parking and easy walk-up access.
