Notes:
A large and popular park in the Juanita area of Kirkland, and very foggy for our visit. The entire beachfront area is surrounded by a U-shaped dock, very popular with walkers. We also saw people fishing from the outer portions of the dock. The water, even beyond the dock is very shallow. We're talking mid-thigh deep, maximum. And, with forests of milfoil. The milfoil combined with shallow water made swimming a unique experience. I continually got pieces of milfoil hooked on either my goggles or my nose clip and had to periodically shake my head to get it loose. On the plus side, the bottom is very comfortable sand. The park itself has artworks, walking paths, and lovely landscaping. There was a children's play area but it was closed off due to the construction of several picnic shelters. Unfortunately, the restrooms were also inside the construction area, but will almost certainly be opened up after construction is complete. For the moment there are porta-potties available to handle those urges. Finally, there's ample off-street parking for those who drive there.
